Funded by the Coastal Impact Assistance Program, this project included five construction contracts for various drainage, dam, and shoreline stabilization repairs within Kleberg County. A new storm sewer system was constructed for Kings Inn Road to alleviate storm run-off from the roadside ditches. Engineering design included the complete repair of a dam structure. Shoreline stabilization included a new bulkhead consisting of metal sheet-pile with a concrete cap to protect the shoreline from continuous erosion from tidal action, hurricane storm surges, and human forces.
